Creative Dancers (3 yr olds) will be released to their parents immediately after their performance.
Quack Quack Dancers (PBB) (4 yr olds) will be released at intermission.
ALL other dancers will remain seated with us until after the finale.
NO DANCER WILL BE RELEASED DURING THE PERFORMANCE
Other important things you need to know:
Parking: You will not have to search for a parking space this year! There will be a parking fee of $5 and attendants will park you on the premises and secure the lots during the show. You may NOT park on the Highway as The Highway Patrol will tow you. Parking spaces are close and easy. Please arrive early to get a close parking spot.
Food: The Juline Regional Youth Ballet will again be selling dinners to enjoy at the show; Tri Tip Sandwiches or Chicken Salad with all the fixin’s and water. The dinner will be provided by The Fruit Yard restaurant, famous for their tri tip and ribs. You may pre-purchase dinners at $15 each. You will pick them up at the recital and enjoy during the show. There will also be a beverage tent for purchase of adult beverages, soft drinks and water.
You may NOT bring outside food into the amphitheater. However, if you choose to have your own picnic before the show, you may do so in the adjacent park setting next to the pond.
Helping Moms: Our most valuable asset at recital time. Yes, we need you! There will be a sign-up sheet in the lobby of the studio after Spring Break. It requires you to sit with your dancer’s class and assist with control, costume changes and potty breaks. There will be a mandatory meeting you must attend on Picture Day. We will have several meetings that day so all will have a chance to attend one.
Why a Park Setting for the Recital? It allows all of your family to attend without the purchase of tickets, it doesn’t require hours of theatre rehearsal for lights and tech, it lowers your total cost for recital, it is a relaxed, non-intimidating atmosphere for your dancer and it is really a lot of family fun. The Fruit Yard Amphitheater is new and the trees haven’t grown up yet. You may need sun screen or a hat. No pop ups will be allowed.
You may pre-purchase flowers for your dancer to be picked up at the recital. You may also pre-purchase a BBQ dinner as well or bring your own.
I hope you will enjoy the park setting as much as we do. In case of a rain out, the recital will take place on Tuesday, June 4th.
