Ballet Modesto Ensemble is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high quality dance performances and artistic opportunities for dancers in the Central Valley.
Housed at Juline School of Dance in Modesto, the Ensemble was created to inspire the community through the art of dance while supporting the growth of aspiring and professional dancers alike.
Through performance, mentorship, and continued dance education, Ballet Modesto Ensemble gives dancers meaningful opportunities to develop their artistry, strengthen their technique, and share their work with audiences across the region.

Artistic Director
Akira Takahashi
Ballet Modesto Ensemble is led by Artistic Director Akira Takahashi.
With a professional performance background and a strong commitment to dancer development, Akira helps guide the Ensemble’s artistic direction and supports dancers as they grow in both technique and artistry.
Through his leadership, Ballet Modesto Ensemble will provide dancers with meaningful opportunities to train, rehearse, perform, and experience the dedication required to pursue ballet at a high level.

Ballet Modesto Ensemble will include 38 dancers in its founding company.
Dancer names are expected to be announced in August, with company information to follow this October. As the company continues to grow, this page will be updated to introduce the dancers who make up Ballet Modesto Ensemble.
